And while you're there, try some of the small local restaurants. Excellent fish tacos, but if you're hungry, some more complete dishes as well. Then take in a movie---the theatres are small, comfortable, and show first-run movies, usually in English with Spanish subtitles. Great opportunity to stay current with US culture (sic) and more importantly, learn Spanish. Best bet: pick a really crummy movie, go for the langauge lesson.

I get dizzy when I look up at the big flag on the malecon. But I'm sure the Caliente or El Pescador didn't have anything to do with it. Fun pictures, thank you for the memories!

I have found the best way to look at that flag is to get a cold Pacifico, drink it, then lay on your back at the base of the pole....puts everything in perspective...:lol::lol:

All I can say is "thanks for taking me to the fish market".
Bajamigo--- Great thought on taking in a movie there. I remember the movies we would see down in San Blas about 45 years ago. Just 4 walls, bring your own booze and rock to sit on and go with the flow!!
