Change in FMT charges?

There are some recent reports from over on the San Carlos, Sonora boards that the rules have changed for the FMT.

According to discussions that gringos have had at migra offices, the 7 day exemption for paying for an FMT is no more. It expired in February, supposedly.

Oh yeah, every man, woman and child now covered.

Has there been any word on this from people who have dealt with Migra in Baja?

Could be a mainland only thing, but they had been observing the 7 day exemption very recently.
