Recomended routes

Are there any recomended routes/trails you all would recomend for these 2 Ohio boys on 400cc bikes coming next February? We have definately decided to stay in San Felipe, 99% sure at Pete's Camp. Is it possible to ride to the Pacific coast and back in 1 day off road, or should we plan an over night in a town over there?

Ride to the Pacific in one day, stay somewhere over there (Coyote Cals www.coyotecals.com ) or Old Mill Motel or ??

Or stay half way over or back at Mike's Sky Rancho or El Coyote Ranch... You will LOVE Baja, dudes!!!

My advice would be to find a Baja Almanac somehow and plot your trip using it. Also, the Score-International.com website has plenty of routes from their actual race as does Kacey Smith's Motocross Baja GPS guidebooks.

Muddywabbit...

Well, you could probably do it in one day...BUT it would be a VERY long hard day. I've gone from Pete's to the Pacific side a couple of times and it's a long tiring ride or drive.

Went through Valle de Trinidad over the mountains and came out at Hwy. 1 south of San Vicente. Did it once in my F250 Superduty pulling a 14' trailer with quad on it (that was hairy) ...and the second time on a 325 Polaris Quad.

I would want to spend the night and go back the next day!! Not as hard on the body and a lot safer...due to being rested.

You can get to Valle de Trinidad by going west on Hwy. 3 or by going up the La Salada dry lake to Hwy. 3.

Hope ya have a great time!
