Well, what do you define as "near shopping"? Near Estero there is a cute place that will certainly take dogs -- Ensenada Beach House. www.ensenadabeachhouse.com

Tom is the owner/manager. Next to the famous "Mario's" restaurant. Cheap -- $35 - $40 a night. Bajaguy might know some places as until his house was finished they stayed in hotel/motels and they have a labrador!

Ahhhhhhhh, but we didn't take Libbie "the Wonder Dog" with us.......I would try the Villa Fontana Inn, but I don't know if they take dogs. Personally, I would go with bajabound2005's recommendation.

Close to COSTCO, Commercial Mexicana and the Home Depot/Super Wal-Mart. Short distance to central Ensenada...........and the dinners at Mario's are great!!!

Bajaguy! I knew you'd be watching this and ready with an answer! So is the next gig the book signing at the Pyramid? I mean where we meet up...
