Here are a few pics of agua verde taken from the panga
the beach in town where the pangas with and our baby panga in the foreground.
Juan is my favorite hunter gatherer....after this feast we had to find a private beach...fast
this is the new development ....note the condos on the left...it is really lovely. Wonder who is doing it....looks very high end for sure.
and last but not least...this is Kurt who made it possible for us to escape by housesitting all our pets...gracias Kurt!

We can't wait to get out and see you and Juan, it is looking like mid september or so when we can get away. I'm a full time working stiff now, so it
kinda limits our vacation time

I really enjoyed my week in Asuncion. I took this opportunity to ride around the Viscaino Peninsula to places I had not visited before and IMHO
Asuncion is the nicest town out there. A little more sheltered and more trees and vegetation than La Bocana or Abreojos and everyone I met there was
extremely nice. I lost a small bag of tools off the bike and two young men found them and took the time to track me down and return them for which I
was very grateful. Shari and Juan are great people and their hospitality is wonderful. It is a place I plan to visit again!

Shari. Wendy & I were just out there a couple weeks ago. The finished house is owned by the "developer". Name forgotten. The unfinished
structure to the left and above him is owned by a fellow named Martin Bruz from Davis Cal. Used to own a boat dealership there. But sold it. We met
Martin at our home about a montha go. He invited us down to see his home. When we did arrive without notice, he had gone back to the states I guess.
But did get to meet some of the local's. Martin told us what you thought was condo's was just his home with each room built on a different level.
The condition of your road Monday caused us to "come another time". Sorry. Our car is new, and didn't want to travel "in". especially after doing the
Aqua Verde road and feeling sorry for our car after doing it. Another time for sure.

It was really great when those young men drove up with your bag of tools---we appreciated the moment. Hope to see you again!

I was just stunned when that happened and it really confirmed my good impressions of the people in Asuncion. I took your advice and rode as much as
possible on the salt flats road going south. The very best was south of La Bocana riding on that perfectly smooth surface with a good tail wind while
looking across the estero to the dunes and south into a mirage. It was one of those great motorcycle moments that makes riding the miles of washboard
worth while. Had a nice stay at Campo Rene, good food at the restaurant and a good visit with Leonardo, the proprietor. He certainly keeps the place
looking great. All in all a memorable trip.

The place looks like the one they were building at San Cosme overlooking the lagoon. I was there two years ago when they were starting it. I was
told then that it was being built by the owner of "Ross For Less" clothing stores. I don't know if that was true or not.
