Pompano. The road to it goes right up alongside and behind the Brisa. Every day is
an adventure for me down that way. Went kayaking at night out of Posada, the water
was flashing and glittering with phosphorus. Real neat country.

Pompano... great pics! Next time you roadtrip there - get a shot of Jungle Jims, inside and out. Also, if you happen to be there on the Thursday
night... a photo of their chili relleno plate would be mouthwatering!

How is Ray coming along on his new place?? I am scheduled to be there in late November for about 2 months. Going to bring a 5th wheel camper...maybe
leave it there for an extended period of time. Maybe a permanant location in Mulege.....any suggestions??

Kodiak is the truck I pull the 5er with. 8' tall and looks like a Peterbuilt...only its 4 wheel drive. Its just a C-4500...one size bigger than a 1
ton....but costs less.
So does Ray have purified water on his site? And what are the chances of finding an 'open' site at Jorge Yee's place in early January? And last but
not least....what kind of monthly rates for a full hookup site? I believe that Ray's is now $400 a month if I am not mistaken.

Thanks for the information Pompano. Seeing all the beautiful pictures of Mulege makes us want to leave tomorrow. I actually went and bought another
5th wheel camper just for the trip. And with the intention of finding a permanant place to just leave it. Maybe, I need to find some yearly
rates?!?! 
Having never been to Mulege, its extremely hard to decide where to go. Your photos sure do paint a wonderful picture of the area tho! Keep them
coming!!

Kodiak,
Since you've never been there, just a word of warning. Don't take the 5er into town! The roads were designed for horse and carts, not vehicles. And
even though they've made most of them one-way to allow room for cars, it's no place for large RV's. Obviously the river roads are better since they
cater to RVers, but even those can have a few tight spots.
Best bet; park the 5er and just use the Kodiak for exploring the town. Even then, that Kodiak may cause a mini-traffic jam in some spots. But the
locals are friendly and will help you when they can.

Size of the rig
Sounds like Capt. Mike and myself, would get along just fine. What kind of
hook ups do you have there? Seeing how this camper is 35' long...I really just want to set it and forget it for about 2 months. Just someplace to
hang my hat during Jan-Feb. Should I book a spot now or can I do it when I get down there??

Thanks Pompano!! Man that is above and beyond the call of duty. I fulltime in a 40' Carriage, and knew it would be a behemoth down Baja.
So...I found one heck of a deal on this 35' and will just make it my 'Baja home away from home' rig. This picture was taken 2 days ago in Missouri
after I dragged it all the way back from New Jersey. It cleaned up pretty nice though....the inside is perfect with the tags still on the sofa and
chairs.

no Kodiak, Don J. does not sell out in summer. you will pay about $15 a nite for a hook em up.
you can long term for about $180-$200 a month, negotiable.
there may be one or two pulled in, maybe 4 or 5 if a caravan.
there are 10 spaces, and the pool and bar atmosphere are the best of all the parks. plus you get to watch the planes come and go.
i am the last palapa west side before you get to the temp spaces.
solos seem to want to take the spot next to me when the place is empty - which is why we make the jokes about running people off after one night next
to us.
one time we put on a blue record that i have, its nothing but crude love making sounds that get way out of hand for 10 minutes i put on an endless
loop.
we were laughing so hard you couldn't tell what was real.
next morning they relocated several spaces east.

Pompano, thanks a million for the new shots of Jungla Jim's. My wife and I had so much fun hanging out there a couple of years ago and met so many
nice folks from 4pm on..... lol
