Paved...from the highway to the beach.....with potholes (maybe)......if you come from the south....beach road north to cabras is usually pretty good....

from north the road is rougher for the most part with more hills.....

also depends on what you are driving.....

You should have no problems with a Westfalia Fred. I drove a big Dodge van out there last summer. If you do come in from the south through Erindera....just watch for the area where the dirt road abruptly turns into sand just past the bay. We ended up getting stuck there and luckily some locals had a rope large enough to hook up to a friends truck to pull us out!

In a vw van I would probably come from the south through Erendira and back north....probably longer but might be faster because of better road....
