Best cheap motel In Ensenada?

I've found a few listed on Ensenada.com.
Check it out:

Motel Presidente
Address:http://www.ensenada.com/elpresidente/index.html

This place boasts an "Aerial Pool". I wonder how that works exactly. A flying pool? I like it!

Ensenada Inn

We have stayed at the Ensenada Inn before. clean rooms, inexpensive. On Ave Sangines between Blvd Costero and Ave Reforma. Oh, and they have a bar on the property.

Ya, I saw that place. Looks nice. Maybe too classy for me though. I'll check out.

Here's another:

Motel Playa Ensenada Baja California
Address:http://www.ensenada.com/playa/index.html

This place boasts parking in front of your room. I guess that's so if you wake up you can stop them from stealing you truck. Maybe I can tie a string to my big toe and run it out the door to my truck.

If this place isn't a brothel it should be! Except they spelled Girls wrong!

Motel Gris Ensenada Baja Mexico
Address:http://www.ensenada.com/gris/index.html

This place boasts new plumbing and good water pressure, Okay, I guess I'll need a good shower afterwards. That's important for a brothel.
It's certainly the cheapest at $21/night. I wonder what the hourly rate is?

Bay shores inn. La Bufadora highway km 12. Nice bar and restaurant across the street. Right on the water/bay. Tell Jay Tom sent you and you get a free sock in the mouth. Just kidding. The owner is a good friend. 45 bucks a night safe secure, and you have a jump on the morning traffic as you will already be south of Ensenada 10 miles.

Not having to negotiate morning traffic through Ensenada is worth 45 bucks even without a room in the middle of the Cantu gaslamp district.

Dennis also works at Sharky's across the street from the Bay Shores Inn. He keeps a seat warm weekdays from 3 to 6.

Motel Colon

If you'd like to see what the Motel looks like, here is a link:

Motel Colon in Ensenada

It's been a favorite of ours for many years, being that it is reasonably priced, adequate, pretty secure, and Manuel the owner & his family are good people. For example, I once forgot some clothing that I had hung in the closet. Was heading South....can you believe they kept them for me until I next saw them which was a few months down the road?

Each room that we've stayed in always had a 5 Gallon garrafon of drink water dispenser. I was there about a week ago, and there was water in the room. If I'm not mistaken, there's even a water dispenser in the courtyard, in the corner by room #8.

There's also an OXXO convenience store very nearby that you can take a quick walk to and pick up sodas, snacks, whatever.

I agree with your selection of the Motel Colon. It's comfortably out of the busy loop but within walking distance to most everything.

Motel Colon is part of a chain of motels in Ensenada. Down the road and to the left is another of their well managed passages, the Motel Intestino Delgado. They offer welcomed relief to the tired traveller.

Up the avenue, just by the end of the road is the Motel Intestino Grueso.
Now, this place is the most relieving place you will ever stay at. It puts you back in control after a desperate day.

Try these places.......... They will lessen the pressure of your trip.

Try Motel Las Palmas - next to the hospital across from the pottery place - coming into Ensenada - take the old left turn instead of going the "short cut straight by the military base" - it's on the right-- most secure place - 24 hour security in the parking lot! - great rooms and nearby places to eat- enjoy

Rented two rooms at the Colon last Friday night for some friends that were down in boats and they were $60 each. They are clean as stated but no refrigeration in them, ceiling fans only. They were doubles, may account for higher prices. And refrigeration WAS necessary last weekend in Ensenada...
