I remember the fisherman whining about the "destruction" sea otters caused when I lived in San Luis Obispo years ago...they blamed them for the loss of the clams, abalone, whatever...nevermind that people have taken the majority of those. When there were only Indians around in California there were thousands of otters too; and yet there were still untold numbers of shellfish in the Pacific waters...so who's the destructive animal?
