I thought the Motas lived in Guerrero Negro

I once was walking the back streets of GN, and a car slowly drove by with a guy in back hanging out the window saying: mota, mota, mota.

I've heard good things about the Rosetta Stone system. EVerything helps.

BINGO! Ken remembers em!

Oh yeah, it was Smokey Burgess that Mota passed. I did a search. Jerry Lynch was #2 at the time but I belive he still has the ML record for most PH homers.

I remember Manny as a good hitting platoon outfielder with the Pirates in the mid 60s, too. This was when Stargell was emerging, Bill Virdon was fading and Clemente was a fixture in right, of course. I absolutely loved Clemente and would always have my dad take me to see the Pirates when they came to Dodger Stadium.

Roberto Clemente could have run for president, and won, before his plane went down.

Given the current candidates, if he were a write-in today, he would win. His first act as president would be to dump the "no foreigner" law.
