La Mision Weekend Prospects

Does anybody have any recent fish reports from La Mision-La Salina? The kelp north of the marina is growing quickly and looks great. How is the Baja Mar kelp looking-fishing? Any yellowtail in the vicinity. I am taking a friend down to La Mision this weekend, and would like to put him on some fish. He is retired, and does not get a chance to fish very often. I know I can always yank a couple lings and rock fish off the tower line-up. would like to find a surface bite!!!

If the local SoCal islands are ANY indication, I would get down there. WSB have been steady and there have been some serious counts on YT in the last couple days.

I cant speak to the specific area.

Ya, the yellows are turning on!
I may have to jump on the cattle boat and head to the islands.
WSB's are 2's and 3's but I've almost given up on trying to catch one of those darn things.
It's bottom fishing and I always catch a halibut which is still okay. Are the yellows still on the bottom also?
For La Salina, check the fishcount for Ensenada. I wouldn't be surprised if there was something good in that kelp.
