Home Brew
Would be interesting to get a real answer to the question of 'can we brew at home in Mexico?' I have been making my own wine for several years, using
concentrated juice, oak barrels, and we consume probably too much, I have asked a few questions of people I thought might know, they all seem to think
if it for home use, no problema. This year I made over 300 gallons of Chard, and some reds. Anyone have knowledge of Mexican brewing laws?

That's a good question.
Does anybody have any idea of Mexican law at all?
You would probably have to pay an attorney a bunch of money to research the law, and then proceed with your hobby only to find out that some little
chithead official decided that you had violated a very important law in Mexico.
Then, the bills go up till you establish that you did nothing wrong.
This is the part of Mexico which bothers me.

Thanks Dennis...now I will put up $100 Dls. if 4 other of you will to and Dennis can take it to a notary as I believe they have more sway. For $500.00
we should get a firm/written answer in case all hell breaks loose. Any takers or additional advice?

I'm sure not going to mention to any authorities my actions of taking hundreds of pounds of beer-brewing ingredients down, but I am curious also.
I can't imagine any problems other than at the border, where I cross with a couple of airtight barrels of malted barley.
Since malted barley is cooked, shouldn't be an Agricultural problem, but who knows how they'd respond to my "Para cerveza" explanation...

I agree wandy. your only problem might be at the border. After that, who's gonna know or tell?
