Road Graded today to Bahia Asuncion

Whew..finally the road is being graded today but the paved part is still not ready to drive on..soon though...watch for the potholes on the part from Vizcaino to the Asuncion turn off...some nasties but they were filling some last week so it should be better. Great weather this week...after so much wind it is a welcome calm and great for the abalone divers too to get their quotas for the month. More good new is that the new cell tower is not working at least for Telcel phones. New maps are posted on my website on the "getting here" page and more pics and whales tales too...check it out.

Glad to hear it has been graded again, and really glad to hear they are filling some of those nasty potholes.

Have they moved the sand dune? On well, it just gives the road some character.:lol:

See ya soon

Hi Shari... looked like the same maps that I used... or am I not looking on the correct 'getting there' page?

Shari,

on your "getting here" page, the directions to your house fizzles out at the "Y".

Where to next?

Where is the "Beach House" located?

You will be following the dirt road towards the coast and make sure to stay left and follow the power lines for the last 5 or so miles.
Then you arrive at an obvious T or Y with no option for going straight. Take a right and you will have about 3 miles left to town.
As you enter town, you will be on the only paved street in town.
Shari's beach house is on the water on the left after you pass the Lantera.

To get to her house, follow the asphalt road through town, past where is turns to dirt again and all the way to the water. Follow the series of dirt roads to the left and you will see Shari's house on the farthest point.

Actually when you get to the "Y" you can go straight but most turn right to come into the village...left and you go to Punta Prieta, san hipolito etc....but we usually go straight as the beach road is smoother especially if you are pulling a trailer which you will be...if you go straight it just curves around and ends up in the village too...hasta pronto

Thanks Shari and Diver, I was just looking at my new AAA map and being curious.

Can't wait to be in Asuncion!

4:48 a.m. now, leaving for San Quintin by 6 a.m. for 6 days!
