A CELEBRATION OF LIFE – BAJA CALIFORNIA SUR - Photo Gallery 5/27/2007

THE OCEAN CLAIMS ANOTHER LIFE – BAJA CALIFORNIA SUR
Photo Gallery 5/27/2007

TRIBUTE TO ED HENRY -- 1942-2007

DOA. Too rapid an ascent from his last dive.
He gave his life to what he loved.
Following his wishes, Ed's ashes were scattered
to the Pacific Ocean in a Todos Santos Beach,
in a private ceremony by the widow, Carol Henry,
in the morning of May 27th, 2007.
At dusk, a more public gathering of family, neighbors and friends. Flower Ceremony [photo attached], drumming circle, bonfire, food & beverages, stories and some tears…
Our condolences to Ed's survivors.

A CELEBRATION OF LIFE

You are hereby invited to post, in this Baja Photo Gallery,
your own photos of other Ceremonies, Tributes and Altars
to those that will be missed...

There are many people you can call “friend”, but only once or twice in your life do you meet someone who truly defines the term. Mike was that person.

He was a hard worker and never got to travel much. Finally, he had a few weeks off and was able to travel to Baja with my wife and I. He shopped for the trip at Price Club, buying 20 packs of everything from paper towels to beans. That little Toyota was packed with so much stuff we didn’t need it still makes me laugh. It was a great trip. We started at 9-Palms and surfed our way back north.

Mikes life was taken when someone changed lanes into him on the freeway, causing his van to roll. When he passed, we gave our photos of him to his fiancee, who we have since lost touch with. Unfortunately the only picture I have is as faded as my memories of him have become.
