Geo Cache and El Rosario trip

My wife Leslie and I will be heading for El Rosario and the culural arts festival this July 19th thru 23rd. We will be staying at the Baja Cactus Motel over the weekend. :tumble:

On Thursday the 19th we will head south and make another attempt to capture Darren Hardesty's Geo Cache :?:, see http://www.geocaching.com for what this is if you don't know. It is hidden on the 05' 1000 course out of Uruapan at the top of a hill climb he was stuck at for several hours during a traffic cluster. We made an attempt to capture it during our run on the course for the 500 but it took us several miles past it to the north. See my trip report post on this run. We will use the 07' 500 course and connect with the 05' 1000 course to make our attempt. Any interested off-roaders who would like to join us contact me. Refering to the above mentioned trip report post, please only very capable vehicles or motos consider coming, as the course was very rough, steep and silty in some sections during our run. 4WD and high ground clearance or really big horsepower will be needed. It will only be worse, or better, depending on how you look at it, after the race. :o We will check into the Baja Cactus Thursday evening.

Friday AM we will head for the coast and run the coast road from Punta Baja to Punta San Carlos and back out to Mex 1 for the drive north to town. :bounce:

Saturday/ Sunday we will enjoy festivities in town.

Monday AM check out and head north. :(
