The Interesting Delivery

We knew the kitchen cabinets were coming soon, but did not expect them that day. Thus, while we were gone, Jesus delivered them onto our front porch. When we arrived home, we immediately discovered a problem.

There was no way this unit was going through the front door. They had measured carefully, did a fine job in building and finishing the cabinets, but there they were on the front porch---not where we needed them.

Fortunately Armando and his workers were there working on our guest room---they tried several ways to push this monster through the front door, but no way.

My first thoughts were memories of the old Laurel and Hardy episode when delivering the piano---I waited for the disaster. Yes, the window was the only way.

And because of how the windows are made, it meant the entire frame had to be removed and we had just painted the living room. Lots of cutting occured and tons of caulking fell to the floor.

I missed the best part, the actual delievery through the window, but I was too busy directing, and yes worrying!

At last, the cabinets are where they belong waiting for tile.

Ay Diane, your cabinets look great... and this photo story allowed me a glimpse of that fantastic color you painted your kitchen. I'd say it's a near match to mine.:dudette:
Looks real good, amiga... all of it.

Nena,

Yes, and think you will like the tile---sure hope we like what we bought!

Ifyfish,

Believe or not, we laughed at the time----not much else we could do.
