Too Beautiful for a Dump site
The area around the Bahia Asuncion Dump is just beautiful---too beautiful for a dump, but we guess it has to be somewhere. Besides, it makes for a
nice drive when we go there.

Those are nice trees that people have thrown away. Cleanest dump I have seen in Baja, or the USofA, or even Canada!

Those Elephant Trees are as tough as nails to survive mid-peninsula...what's the yearly rainfall down there, around 2 inches?

OK, confession --- if I would have turned around you would have seen the trash. In fact, we moved a few items out of the pictures. 
Seldom rains in these parts, but this is the Vizcaino Fog desert, so lots of fog----but not much here in Asuncion. The Elephant trees are
amazing---some are just huge and others where the wind blows a lot are bonsai ones.

the drive into Asuncion from the pavement turnoff is stunning this time of year with areas that are totally pink blooms of these trees...awesome. Gee
that's not the dump WE go to...just kidding, i know it's behind there somewhere! see nomads...it wasn't just me who found Asuncion lovely and brags
about it!

There is alot of coastal fog in Peru and Chile. The people use netting to capture the mist and have a way of storing the water. Do they do the same in
areas of Baja?

Never seen it although I've seen the process elsewhere. That's a survival method, far inadequate for Baja needs.
How much water can be accumulated, per sguare meter of net, and how much can be saved?
