New La Paz website
Just another Tio Rocky attempt at a Baja website.
La Paz really lacks a serious attempt to cover all so… here it is… fire away…
Your suggestions and constructive comments are welcome.

Very nice job! Seems quite complete. Never been to La Paz (an oversight that will corrected this winter), but the site gives you a good flavor of the
place.

Since selling all his pangas years ago he is getting back into the game…. I believe he now has two or three… “Mamas Mink” is the newest. He also
caters breakfast and lunch to a large portion of boats going out everyday….. He’s in great health and happy but if I have to hear the Gong Show story
one more time……………………

There are businesses listed on the site that are direct competitors with other business I have going here and in fact are listed ahead of me. This
website is meant to be a directory of sorts for La Paz and as long as it’s kept within good taste, does not contain animosity or hate towards others
and is accurate, they are welcome to post a listing. All listings are posted first come first listed.
It really is my goal to make this site informative and accurate. If there are any nomads out there that would like to contribute I would really
appreciate it.
Also, if any of you with websites (Baja content), I would love to exchange links.

The site looks great (haven't read it yet). I get paid to build websites so I guess I'm a pro. Therefore I had to take a look at the source code for
the homepage. Nice to see hand crafted code. I just may "borrow" your picture of the day javascript.
Your site is the first time I came across the Zoom Search Engine. Open source PHP? My favorite. I'll look into it. I'm using a Google Mini appliance
on the site I'm building now (a non-public Intranet for a high tech company).
BTW, the "Home" link in the top blue bar on the search results page doesn't work.
Your design is excellent in that it is very expandable. The horizontal blue bar could be turned into a top navigation bar for the main sections and
then the left nav used for subsections of each main section. That would reduce/eliminate the need for verticle scrolling to see the navigation
hyperlinks. I guess the breadcrumbs would then go under the blue bar.
The green in the Mexican flag isn't the correct shade. #01A701 or thereabouts ought to do it. I know, picky, picky, picky.
Nice site! The site map is especially helpful.

Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions…. It does help keep me motivated…. I have a big change coming and will post when done….
Oldhippie,
The Zoom search is not open source… depending on how much you want it runs $50/$200 ,,,, just type Zoom Search into google to find it…
There is a free search that works real good and in fact is self spidering… type in “Orca Search” and you’ll find it.
The flag colors were changed for legal reasons and in fact if you blew it up it’s not the MX flag. Just an eye trick…. In Mexico you can not display
the Mexican flag for any type of promotion… in fact I had to “remove” it completely on my business cards because no one would print it even as is…
Thank folks!
