Old photo album of La Paz
This is an old photo album from La Paz made by Francisco Aramburo, for those of you old enough to remember (Beeing the croud you are I doubt there are
any old people here ) Francisco Aramburo is the one that made most if not all
of the post cards that you found for sale for Baja California Sur and he has the Libreria y fotografia Aramburo on 5 de Mayo and Madero.
Front cover
This is were La Concha is now
Aerial view of La Paz
On this one you can see Aramburo building and the old La Perla de La Paz
Way back when Los Arcos Hotel was only one level and they had a bar on the roof top
This hotel "Los Cocos" used to be by were the Gran Baja is now

The ferry was the pride and joy of Baja California Sur

Thanks.
I have been in that shop many times. Is it still open?
I bought some cool old postcards of San Jose from him.
Where did you come across all this stuff?
Muy interesante!

My compadre from La Paz sent them to me, all I can find for Fco. Aramburo is a phone number under the yellow pages for La Paz 122-0030. It loks like
it's still open

The Aramburo bookstore was once located to one side of the plaza but has since disappeared. Francisco wrote a column for a La Paz newspaper, and a
collection of these has been published in a book--an interesting read.
