for a corp...you need an accountant

he files a report monthly on the internet that says you are making NO money

you do need to pay his retainer for the year $$

rob is correct about a residental house owned by a corp
you need to do business with a corp
but...
you can have the corp buy the land for later
that's what corps do...hold land

don't EVER think you'll get away with building a residential home on a lot in the restricted zone and live there owning it with a corp
you'll have problems later...

improvment $$ requirements are ONLY required with fidocomisos on property that are larger than 2000 sq meters
but...
that amount ($$) and size (sq meters) can change from place to place

get advice from a lawyer...

What happens in the case of a Mexican national or someone
with dual citizenship wanting to buy property? Same drill? or
easier/ less costly?

A Mexican citizen can take title directly without a corp or fidicomiso.
Saves $3-$5K to be a citizen buying property.
Pay aquisition tax, survey and recording fees and you're done.
