ATTN: jdtrotters

We are eagerly awaiting your photo posts of the festival in Asuncion; horse races, demolition derby, fishing tournament, dances......
Better take naps, you have a busy week !!

We will pay handsomely - maybe keep our new casa under 4 stories ?
Anyone else want to chip in ??

What a coincodink! La Ribera's annual fiesta days starts tomorrow. This time Shari's take on the weather here is spot on. I'm supposed to cover the fishing tourney tomorrow for WON but it entails hangin' around on the beach where they measure the temps in Kelvin. My "feels like" chart won't really read today -- close as I can come: 95º/70% humidity on my patio = 123C. A time when the only thing you wanna move is your eyes. At latitude 23N we are the same as Havana so I'm not complaining, just giving you news you can use.

Not sure we will make it all, but the camera battery is being charged. It is a bad job, but someone has to do it. :tumble::spingrin:

Now, this is a one time thing. Next year you have to be here yourself.

With some of the rebar used around here, we really want to see you try for four stories. :tumble::tumble::tumble::spingrin:

Well, off to see when and if the Gov. is arriving.

Diane and John

Boy am I glad the trotters are here to document this monumental event...I watched from my patio as dozens of boats screamed by on their way to San Pablo in search of yellow tail and there are lots of people fishing off the rocks here by our place. Ya better get some spare batteries Diane! weird thing is my camera batteries have disappeared!!so strange...but now I don't have to worry about taking photos so I can double fist tkt's. gotta go as the horses should be arriving soon...sirena decided to go surfing with some guests instead of riding Martillo who is happily munching hay watching the fisherfolks. today is the opening ceremony of the festival with the governer kissing all the ladies...live band, fishing awards, dance etc....the rodeo, demolition derby, horse races are this weekend...hasta luego...here come the hangovers!

Did not get up early enough to see the boats leave, but did see and hear them flying by headed north. Hope to get some pictures later when they return.

Next year Diver----
