Grave Marker

I found this grave marker at the south end of Variety Beach, at the base of Morro Santo Domingo.

Has anyone seen it? Does anyone know who it's for and what this place meant to the man? You can U2U to me about it if you care.

The cross is almost illegible now. Written in 4/03 it starts with "This friend ..." and fades from there.

It's all alone out there in a spot where guys have caught numerous white sea bass in the past. Whistler had posted a picture of it recently.

Hard to believe it's been there for more than four years.
