Camping in Puerto Lopez-Mateos

We're headed down there in October, and wanted some tips on where to and not to camp. Does anybody know about secure storage in PLM?

Only places possible that we know of are a small area (for 3 or 4 RVs) 60 yards to the left of the Whale watch dock, or a couple of spots across the runway north of the cannery. Not a lot of choice there.
Sorry, no info on storage.

We have the same experience as B&B.
Most folks come for the whale watching and camp in the parking lot or just south of the launch area. Be careful of "soft" spots off the road.

Another alternative is to stay in Cuidad and drive up each day. Manfred's has great security, a pool and more.

There are 1 or 2 places that rent rooms in town; maybe they would have some security and a place to park your rig.
Do a forum search; someone mentioned them a month or 2 ago.
