Mood: Rarin' to go South!

Have to agree with you, Bernie. Las Cascadas is the one place in Baja I might be talked into buying a timeshare or even a resort stay. It is special. I would sure rather sit at a table on the sand there than the Office or Billigan's!!!

Their Friday nite fiesta buffet & show is highly reccomendable.

THE VISIT HAS BEEN CANCELLED!

Oh my kind and generous amigos and amigas ~

Alas, I have just received an email cancelling the planned meeting ... Amir and I are disappointed and I have been assured I will be filled in as to why this cancellation occurred, but occur it did. I will keep all of these posts in my file to refer to when the opportunity comes to entertain folks down Cabo way or when Amir and I decide we need a vacation a little further south than our abode.

Nomads are the greatest folks and once again I can't thank you enough for giving me all these wonderful ideas.

And a special thanks to Bernie. Once again you took me someplace I will not get to see or experience. I lived in Panama for a short while in the 60's and the cars and trucks were highly decorated. I want some fringe for my Jeep Cherokee, to augment my St. Christopher's medal hanging under the string rainbow on my rearview mirror and the Guadalupe sticker on the windshield.

Again thanks to all ...

Don't let the street vendors and all keep you from experiencing part of Cabo San Lucas. Like any other tourist destination you have some inconviences with the good. One of the reasons that I recommended the Mango Deck is that the vendors are not allowed up on the concrete deck. Thus you don't have to avoid chasing them away. Also the food is excellent. They serve complete meals et al. And Oxxo is correct, the ferries from the cruise ships drop everybody off at the cruise ship docks at the other end of the marina from Puerto Paraiso (the big mall). Still you can park in the big empty lot next to the Dolphin place and it just a short walk to the docks. Better yet, take a taxi from the dock to Medano Beach and the Mango Deck. Last August five of did for $6.00 US. Certainly I wouldn't pay more than $10.
