Just got to witness two vehicles being ticketed in a 60km zone south of San Lucas. They passed me when I was doing 80 km. I passed them about 5 minutes later, both outside their vehicles talking to the Federales with a lot of arm waving.

I had a friend I ran into at San Juanico, who got caught by radar somewhere n. of San Ignacio. They hasseled him a bit telling him he was in big trouble for speeding, he admits to doing 90. He is 62 and riding alone on his motorcycle from Reno. He rode in the n. road to San Juanico. He looked at the cop car and they had a camcorder set up to look like a radar unit. They took him for $100. Same BS new scam.

Well, I asked this question on another radar thread a while back and don't recall any kind of reply. Are radar detectors legal here? Does anybody really know? If, as they say, traffic laws are basically the same on both sides, they would be legal. I think there are a couple of places in the states where they arn't, DC and maybe Virginia and illegal everywhere for vehicles over 10,000 lbs. Anyway, that's all I think I know.
