Importing a car to Baja Sur.

What is the procedure to import a car to Baja Sur?
Planning to drive down early November and then do the paperwork, but how and where? Do I need a Mexican drivers license before changing plates? How much would they charge on a 97 Suzuki Sidekick.
Your imput much apreciated! Thanks

If you choose not to do it at the border and you are going to be in the Cabo area, I know someone who can do it for you for a reasonable fee.
