Wild Fires - Best way to cross???
I have never driven down before and am getting ready to leave northwestern British Columbia in a few days- will get to San Diego Nov. 10. Planning to
cross 11th or 12th at Tecate.
I have been reading the board but with no experience am confused as to whether I would even make it through with all the wild fires??? Sounds like
Tecate was closed - may be open by then but then would I get stuck further south as things burn ahead??? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated
since I am buying plane tickets for other family to meet us along the way but can still make changes to plans if need be. A million thank yous for
your help!!!

The bigger issue for you will be sharing the road with the Baja 1000 racers and chase vehicles!
Race begins the 13th and lasts for 2 1/2 days: Ensenada to Cabo San Lucas this year.

You okay up that way DK? We're keeping a close eye on the fire south of us. So far no evacuation, though. But the camping gear is ready....
