Egrets

This morning on our walk it was high tide and the estero is trying to break through. All the birds were hanging out at the mouth feeding.

Cool pics Judy! The surf looks pretty decent too! Blue skies and fair weather?

Al
The water temp is very refreshing here. I would guess mid to high 70's. 68 on the porch this morning at sunrise. very nice, indeed!

Oh thanks for the egrets, Judy. I especially like the one with that gaggle of egrets on the sand. I'm accustomed to seeing them along our shoreline, but never have I seen so many taking a walk together.

I've always rather liked this Eye of the Egret shot, taken by Steve Warner. Your egrets, Judy, appear to be Great Egrets. This is a Snowy Egret. Hope you don't mind my sharing it on your post, Judy.

Those are the busiest egrets I've ever seen! Must be that San Jose bustle.

Oh yes you're right, Tom... Judy's are snowy egrets. Black bills and legs. The great egrets have orange bill and legs - correcto?

Great — yellow bill, black legs and feet; snowy — black bill, black legs, yellow feet; cattle — yellow bill, legs, and feet. Committee work if ever there was.
