road to Mike's Sky Rancho?

Has anyone driven from Hwy 3 to Mike's recently? How about from Mikes's to Meling Ranch? I'm going in a couple of days in my 4wd Dodge diesel and would like to know current road conditions.

Thanks

As of April 8, 2004:
The road from Mex. Hwy 3 to Mike's is a bit rougher than in years gone by, but still fine for 2WD; it appears however that the road is being worked on.......

The road from Mike's to Meling Ranch is currently passable in high clearance 2WD, although definitely rougher than the above road. 4WD is always recommended for this road as winter rains and summer thunderstorms can really make this road extremely challenging(after the 1998 El Nino it took us five hours and some damage to my truck to get thru....this April we breezed thru in 2 hours).

hwy 3 to Mikes

It took me about 2 hours. There was a Chrysler 300 sedan there when I arrived. They said it took them 2.5 hours, the last hour after dark.
