Mulege report?

All right, what's been going on down in Mulege lately? Planning on a short trip around the first part of December and was hoping to hook up with a few YT besides the usual bottom fish and bass. How has everyone been doing lately on the YT?

Just do it!

Here is a short report my amigo e-mailed me the other day.

fishin' is great these days > amazingly very little Dorados in summer (whatever others say is bull..., there was no good season in summer) but now @ the end of season > lots of'em. we brought home 4 25 pounders one day and 6 20 pounder another day only this week. some yellowtails and on another occasion a whole bunch of Pargo and Leopard Grouper.
Pargo and L.G. are the best for eating if they are around 10lbs or more, and they are.
better eating than Dorado, much better. and there is halibutt around > nobody knows how they are coming into this area and everybody is talking about that phaenomenon. but they are here and a lot of them.
the other day I caught a giant needle fish about 5 feet long. man! that was quiet a fight!
all of our friends (the refugees) r back and our fishing buddies are very exited about the good fishing conditions.
well, that's Mulege.

Thanks Minnow! I'm really surprised about the report of Halibut being caught I wonder what size there are to'em. Interesting. All in all it looks very good and starting to get excited about our trip.
He's right about there being no Dorado (to speak of) this past summer though! We did get into a school of them on one particular day but all the other days it was very scratchy and we were skunked a few times too.
Anyway, will post a report on our return. Thank you.
