A new huge flag too

I will continue this series as it progresses.
This flag is on a 50'(+ or -) pole over the Heads....or I should say where the heads will be. I have never heard the ones in Ensenada called anything else although I am sure that Los Heroes is probably a better name.
As of today there are only pedestals..looks like 6 or 8. Will have to do a future head count when I am next in town.
All of this restoration and construction has close two roads in San Jose. Mijares(in front of the Tropicana) dead ends where the fountain used to be and Zaragoza ends right by the Church(here you must take a right...as if today....they have painted stripes down the middle of the roads which would indicate two lanes and I have heard that there will be no parking at all on the streets in town. So stay tuned)

The mural looks beautiful, Judy, and I'm relieved to see that the flag is over heads on pedestals, and not there to mark the bathrooms!

How will the closed streets affect the traffic? And will the improvements chsnge the feeling of the plaza? It's seemed like a pleasant area to me.

The Heads

There are seven busts of local heros. The center of attraction is our own Jose Antonio Mijares who is credited with driving the Norteamericanos out of Baja in 1847 just up the block from where this monument now sits.
