What an amazing looking creature! Any idea what it is called? Some sort of 'walking stick' maybe?
Thanks for posting the photo!

Baja has the coolest insects!
... and they seem to be attracted to bathrooms.
I can't tell you how many discoveries I've made while sitting on the throne at Tripui.

I hope you check under the seat of your throne before sitting down. Scorpions like those thrones as well.

Good point.
I remember reading that prior to indoor plumbing 40% of all black widow bites (maybe I should use the word stings) in the US were to a certain part of
the male anatomy.

No, it was a close up. Those are 4 1/4" counter tiles.
They don't bite.

When I was a kid I would have to dig the new hole for our outhouse in Chihuahua Mexico. We always pushed the outhouse over to kill the black widows
underneath the two hole seats. After seeing those black widows for the first time as a kid I never again sat down directly on an outhouse seat. This
was of course Mexico where we had no plumbing or electricity.
