Vacaenbaja

I waited to read the rest of the story on Guadalupe Day. It was a good one, thank you so much for posting it!

It confirms my thoughts after going up to San Javier for that saint's festival recently, that Baja is a unique mixture of religion and beer!

I am pretty sure that photo is of the old pier that was "out back" of the old API building where Mija used to have her coffee house, in the rock building. It was condemned for years and we used to have access to the little beach next to it while she had her biz there.Awesome snorkling and fish life there.Big Golden Groupers used to call that area home.I saw them up close, they were not afraid, but wouldn't bite a bait nor a lure! Those were the days....(4 yrs. ago)

Pompano,

To get this thread moving again I'll submit a photo that was taken from the inside of Hussong's Cantina, 1982. This is my best friend Denise, climbing down from the beast after pinning her business card to it's forehead.

I haven't been inside Hussongs since I can remember when. Maybe someone has a more recent photo of what it looks like now.

I'm sure it still smells the same....

P.

I rememberr the days when Hussongs Cantina had thousands and thousands of buisness cards stapeled to the wall. Now they are all gone - fire hazard, no? I remember one time I was there and the Moose on the back wall had a hand rolled cigarette in it's mouth - looked like a 'joint' to me... hahahahha. I gotta look and see what I have in digital of that place and post it if I have it.
This is a great thread.

Stayed at Punta Chivato a few times. Was always amazed at the first rate food and of all things AMERICAN Brand beers for sale at the cantina. The rooms were nice although at times , depending on who was running the place they could be rather pricey. Wonderful shell beaches, before people started putting up houses all over the place. Had not been back since '92. Is it still worth the trip?
