Generators Costco Cabo

Newbie here,

Does anybody know if the Costco in Cabo has the inverter generators? My local store does but I know each area let alone country is different.

Not sure what your asking. Costco does have emergency generators up to 10 KV. I'm not sure of the quality.

Roamin...Standard generators do not need an inverter...it put out 110/220) AC.
you need a converter to go from AC to DC (battery voltage)
An inverter is 12 volt DC to 120 volts AC to run your blender...please invite me for a margarita...

Costco typically carries Generac, Mucho loud, not the most durable.

Look at the Northern Tool on-line catalog. Their house brand generators use Honda power plants.

I saw a Generac genny at Doheny the other day that was encased in plastic like the Hondas. Mucho quieto. Cant comment on the longevity/reliability, though.

To clarify, I am in need of a generator that is quiet, similar to the Honda EU 2000 inverter series. My local costco carries the Onan version (knock off) and I was hoping maybe the costco in SJD did as well.

Hook, I am not familiar with Doheny, where are they located?

Doheny is just a park where I saw one, not an outlet.

I just took a stroll through the Generac website and I see nothing even closely resembling what I saw. Maybe it was a discontinued model but it did look very similar to the Hondas, red plastic and all. But it wasnt a Honda; I am very familiar with theirs.

Al G, Honda's EU series takes the raw power created by the generator and runs in through a microprocessor circuit to create power very similar to a true sine wave instead of a modifed sine wave. They refer to this process as "inverted"; hence the use of the term "inverter" with this series of their generators. This is why their EU models have an "i" in them; EU-1000i, 2000i or 3000i.

It is rather confusing for them to refer to it like this, as "inverter" is so closely associated with converting DC to AC. But maybe their gennys are putting out 12VDC and they ARE inverting to get AC.

nicely done hook, I stole this from the Honda site:

The Honda Inverter Generator Series produce multi-phase, high voltage AC (alternating current) and then change it to DC (direct current) electronically. This DC voltage is then processed (inverted) into ultra-clean, stable 120V AC power.

My real want is the Honda EU2000 but I am not sure if there is an outlet in Cabo.

Thanks again.

Create another post asking about the availability of Honda generators in La Paz. I bet someone knows where to get them there.

Honda has a motorcycle shop in LaPaz and I think they had them. So I suspect there is a Honda shop in Cabo.
