One of the local pangeros puts a large doll on his bow. His boat seems to stay cleaner than the rest.

Pomp------

I have had my 12 and 14 foot Gregor's at anchor for over a week, using it by day, but keeping it off shore at anchor for the rest of the time. We NEVER have the bird problem that so many others seem to have. Why do you suppose that is? Is it the fact that the Gregor is Aluminum, and quite noisy with the waves slapping against the hull?

This has always puzzled me. Of course we have always been at remote beaches, often the only boats there-----might this have something to do with it------the Pelicans are perhaps just "else-where"?

I was told that something to prevent them from landing does the trick..like tight fishing wire just above the gunnels..also have seen old CD's sstrung around so they flash...but not landing sounds better.

Maybe an attraction to them in the center of the boat.
That way they will all face inward and poop outward
