Loreto Bay construction still stalled; City hopes for an agreement
The project continues to be shut down.
http://www.oem.com.mx/elsudcaliforniano/notas/n523782.htm
Loreto, Bay California - the project of Loreto Bay continues closed against the indifference of the directors of the construction company in obtaining
the permits and fines for the construction, confirmed by the director of Obras Publicas Florentino Robles Osuna.
After a week of the posting of the Notice of Closure of the remodel of the golf course, because of not acquiring the work permit, and not paying the
real estate taxes, nor has the company approached the city government.
it is of great disapointment that the attitude of the directors of not seeking a solution to the problem before them, the situation is affecting the
image of the company with their clients that are looking to acquire the housing offered to the northamerican market.
From another stand point, it is expressed that the administration the head of Rosalia Romero de Aguiar is not against the development tourist
attraction and the coming of investing, Finally, what needs to be done is to comply with the regulations that is required through the city.
Robles Osuna assured that the council of Loreto is hopeful that discussions are coming to reach an agreement.

Loreto Airport...
It's gotten crowded, and no longer as nice a place to have to go to. That's partly because of new airlines and flights, but also because they all seem
to have to arrive/depart at about the same time. Why I don't know.
So, anyway, with the perceived need for more space, someone asked for, and received, a government appropriation to expand the airport. Apparently they
askers were aggressive and scored a big appropriation.
Is it warranted? I don't know. Depends on whether free market capital will follow the government spending. All of the local buildable coastline is
planned for development, most of it dense, but of all the large announced developments, only LB has constructed anything beyond fences.
LB's problems? I don't know what's going on, not that I've been looking very hard. But there does seem to be a change in the level of confidence in
the development.
Are the other potential developers watching LB? Are they tuned into the US housing market? Could LB have oversold Loreto with their advertising blitz,
and the market is not there for what's being offered?
Meanwhile, remember that down here new stuff, like the airport, doesn't really count until it's finished, if ever.
And the new hospital? Is it open yet?
