Do You Christmas/Holiday Newsletter or No?

I send out a Christmas greeting via email, summarizing the events of the past year to friends and family. I enjoy(or am otherwise lacking intellectual stimulation?) reading the family newsletters sent to me this time of year.

Odd recipes, lost friends, babies, death, illness, moves, new jobs, new homes, new friends and the universe as the writer sees it is much better entertainment than anything CNN serves.

What's your practice?

I generally send them only to my midwestern in-laws. From what I've gathered, it would be rude to send a card with no letter. I guess it depends on how it's written, because I enjoy some of them, but often I find them too long, boring or braggy. I ended up sending it to everyone this year because of our change of address, but I keep the news short and sweet, and add little pictures of the family.

And I always mention Baja!
