Internet access in Lapaz

I'm entertaining the idea of spending a couple weeks in Lapaz. I could get a condo near the Malecon for next to nothing. If I'm gone that long I'll have to work. I'd need high speed internet access in a comfortable setting and be able to make calls from my Verizon cell phone. Is this doable and would it be expensive?

Many buildings come with wireless internet, and along the malecon most cafes offer free internet to customers like 5th ave coffee etc... If that doesn't work you can contract it. Verizon works but minutes could be about $1/minute.

Might be nice to not be on the net or connected too much during your holiday?

Good point, Gnukid. I'm trying to fool myself into thinking I'll be productive.
