leaving tecate early (6 am)12/26 to make guerro negro that evening, then take a day or two more to get to the east cape. caravan?

I may be doing the same. I already have tourist card and such...I figure camping in the rocks at Catavina night 1, camping south of Loreto night 2, and being in Santiago night 3 (a little past the Ribera turnoff).

Night 1 would be merrier/safer in numbers. Do you have a VHF?

Girlfriend and I on our first trip down. Destination is likely Santa Rosallalita a few miles before Guerrero negro. Want to leave at the same time as you. Safety in numbers sounds good. Staying in San Diego now and getting a few more preparations together. No tourist card yet but can get tomorrow probably. I will U2U you guys as well so we can converse.
