Husson's Bar 1966

Just found a treasure. I think this was originally a place mat. In 197? my girlfriend and I were the first to arrive on New Years Day around 9am. The front doors were still closed but we parked in back and just wondered in. They treated us like royalty. Set most of the bar up with Tequila Sunrise glasses with just the mix in them and as we worked our way down the bar they added the booze. And they would let us pay. Holy Molé what a day! --- If any one would like the full size Photo, 2.6MB, U2u me and I'll try to send it to you.

Pretty generous of them to break a serious law, selling before 10AM, to get the new year off to a good start.
Or, maybe that law wasn't in place yet...197?

I have a postcard from that same era. Valchez did all of the art work for them.

The postcard is of the front door wall and over the door it says funda en 1880.
The problem is that you are looking through the door from the inside so in real life the funda 1880 would be a mirror image but on the postcard you can read it. I always thought that made it even more interesting. I have no idea where this postcard is but if I find it I will scan it and post it.
