Where do I begin....

We just got home:( from a trip to Baja that will never be forgotten
From the time we met Diver and his family in San Diego to the day we left to come home...We were surrounded by some of the best people we have ever met. Our trip into Bahia Ascuncion was a delight after hearing what the road could be like...Then we finally got to meet our hostess with the mostest Shari and Juan. That was just the beginning of this most memorable trip. We love to fish and fish we did!!! The beach fishing was great for halibut and boca dulce!!! My birthday was Dec 24th and Juan took us out on our first trip....Barb caught all the fish...Oh well...I knew my turn would come...He he he....Her arms were about to fall off after her second yellow
That evening was the lobster fry...wow!!!! There's no other way to explain it...Just WOW!!!

Mike and Jane were our hosts that evening and did an outstanding job making us feel welcome and at home at their house...From Christmas day we ate and fished and fished some more and then ate some more

Early one morning...Can't remember which morning...We heard a vehicle pull up outside our motorhome and my name being called. It was Zac looking for a fishing partner...Took me about 30 seconds to get ready.LOL. At this point I still didn't belong in the yelowtail club...10 minutes out that was taken care of with the first yellow of the day...That day we boated 5 yellows and
an assortment of other fish..What a day!!! Pics can be seen in the fishing section....That was it!!! I was in the club in a big way
Thank you Zac SO much for thinkig of me that morning

One more trip with Juan and Barb and 4 more yellows and our freezer filled with fish and we slowed down the fishing for a bit...NOT!!! LOL

How can I summarize a trip like that. Words like fabulous and amazing don't do it justice. We met a wide spectrum of folks that won't be forgotten. On our arrival there , Shari suggested where we park and said we would have a neighbor..Kevin. And that we might get along with the cantankerous old fart..She couldn't have teamed us up with a better guy...We even shared a beer or 2
The locals that we met were just the finest bunch you want to meet even with the language barrier. We really didn't need to understand a whole lot to heve fun and feel totally comfortable with them..They are a hoot....Shari...Tell them I still think they're all from San Ignacio LOL But only the guys

Barb will be posting soon to give her side of the story so I'll leave it at that. I got a birthday present form my bud Juan that I havn't taken off or will ever take off that will be my reminder of these days we spent in my version of paradise. Guess where we're going on our next trip....Yepper...Right back there!!!

Remember.....Fishing is not a life or death decision....Its much more serious!!!

It's always good to read how someone enjoyed themselves.

Thank you for the report - Deb

A very refreshing trip report. I could feel your excitement through my computer screen. Is the count down on to your next trip?

And I see that Tim did not mention in his report that he was named Fisherman of the Year, so far for 2008. He sure beat Jane and I in our quest for Yellowtail. It was wonderful hosting you and Barb and thanks for the fishing tips of Beach Fishing. I still have to work on that skill but I have lots of time to perfect it. We sure had a great time as well this year with all the Gringos joining us this year. Hectic but a great time was had by all. I am sure we will see you again down there Tim, Cheers.

Tim take a look at that sunset. Looks like a nuclear blast went off. Way cool. Of course it would not be so cool if it really was one. Heck even Shari said "You guys are da bombs"

Edit: "Tim take a look at that sunrise - Thanks Shari.

Morning.

Paulina we wanna go back in August for the Yellowtail tournament. Rent a car in San Diego. We must keep up our image.

We truly did have a marvelous time. I can't stop thinking of the place.

I have been dinging out the motor home and doing laundry, never ending. I have 2 Tecate left in the fridge that I will be sipping on today. Tim thinks he drank them all but I saved a couple hee hee.

A big thankyou to Sheri and Juan. You guys are the best. Made us feel like a part of your family.

Oh...when Juan and Tim had that double header with the Yellowtail they both had sea lions after their catch. That was so exciting. They landed them no problem. Juan was giggeling so hard, then he had me going, I thought I was gonna pee laughing. Man he loves his job.

Oh yea....we had a bonfire. Thanks to Mike and Jane. We even brought down some of our own fire wood from BC. Thanks for remembering us that night. We forgot one thing tho...to solve the worlds problems. Next time.

Thanks to every one here on this board for all the advise and encouragement. Getting there and back was a piece of cake thanks in a large part to Diver.

Talk to you all real soon.
