Nomad dual sport riders

Hello all:

A buddy and I will be between Mulege' and Loreto for the last three weeks of March and the I will be there for the first week of April. I just dug out my DR 650, gettin ready to haul it down with my pals KTM 640. Between the two of us we are 110 years old.

Are there any other Nomad Dualsporters who will be in the area to go for a little putt.

Hella 500's actually. I built my own bracket using the stock reflector brackets. Soon to be one fog and one pencil. They have done well at 55w each, but I have an H-3 35w in the kit for the low beam in case I have to do a long run with the lights on.

No kick starter on these scooters anymore.

What're you riding?

Fatboy...lots of nice riding up this way in season. There are a bunch of elders up this way who dualsport.

I can't wait to get that big boy down to San Nicolas'. With more than a 300 mile range I'm limited only by deep sand and my age.

I've got a Suzuki DL1000, but I am looking for another 650, maybe a XR650R with plates. I had a KLR but it was terrible offroad. I dual sport the DL but it's a handfull offroad.

Hi Gregg...most of my riding buddies have DRZ400 Suzukis. They love 'em. Plenty for the highway if you need to, but quite nice on the dirt too. IF your legs are long enough. I'm still modifying my DR 650 to get it closer to the ground.

I'm inseam challanged ,30" inseam here, but I don't put my feet down unless I'm falling or stopping. I like the DR 650 but I would like to get something lighter. I need at least 650 for the hwy. I will look at the new BMW 800GS when they come out (even though I don't like BMW).
