Look at what's been hijacked!

Not just a thread, but the whole dang Off-Topic Forum. The only recent posts on it are political arguments, a narrow focus that will no doubt continue for at least the next nine months.

Posting on this forum has always been risky for people with thin skins, and not being one of them I've done my share of exchanging rude insults.

But not too long ago the Off-Top included a fairly wide range of subjects and opinions, expressed by people with diverse interests. The skank attacks of the usual suspects were diluted with other material.

I would welcome a separate forum for Nomads who want to concentrate on the warfare between Red and Blue, so they don't continue to gobble up the space that used to be given to random non-Baja themes.

How about a non-Baja (but non-political) forum Doug? Like when Nomads want to share their non-Baja trips and photos, etc.?

This has been discussed, before, no?

Other Topics ?

How about a Non-Baja and Non-Earthly category where folks can go to share their UFO sightings and abduction stories ?

OR

Another good OFF-Topic forum could be one in which Nomads share their Supernatural experiences such as communicating with the Spirits or Apparition Sightings ?

Now, That would be fun to read.

Just trying to help.

Most posters use the general forum to post no matter what the subject.

The last forum created by special request over a year ago has only been used by 1 [one] person.

Instead of creating more forums how about deleting half of what is here now. It would make for fewer forums to have to move the threads too that are started in the wrong place. Not to mention the deletions of duplicate threads by members that feel they need to put the same thread in every forum on the site.

If people would get in the habit of using 'Today's Posts' to read Nomad (the link is at the top of the page), provided they come here at least once every 48 hours, then they may get out of the habit of using the General Baja Discussion Forum for everything?

As for so many forums, including the new one made that isn't used... just drop them if they aren't utilized if it saves you time monitoring them all... or just because they aren't needed.

I might add that sometimes people have used the 'Baja Miscl.' forum for posting a story or question... That forum is in the CLASSIFIED ADS section of forums and is intended for Miscl. items FOR SALE, that don't go into the other ads forums... So, when you post a NEW subject article, help Doug and Hose A (Gene) by using the appropriate forum here!

Thank you Doug and Gene for your good work here!
