TelCel Again

Ok, I am a little slow and challenged in many ways----so I need to ask about my Tel-Cel Phone

To call from the US to my Tel-Cel Phone, I know one has to dial
011-52-1 + area code and then number

What confuses me is inside of Baja----

When does one use the 044 + 10 digit number, and when does one use 045 + 10 digit number?

Thanks
Diane

P.S. Very happy with my prepaid phone---easy to add minutes and not that expensive for quick calls back to the US

044 is to be used in your own area code

045 is for all other cell numbers. k:yes:

Thank you Keri---I thought that was the case, but didn't remember for sure---making new cards.

Diane-

How much per minute for calls to the US? T-Mobile charges me about $1.53/minute.

Keri is correct, you use the 044 for your area code (clave LADA) and long distance or to another area code (clave LADA) cell phone it's 045.
To call from the US to any mexican cell phone it's 01152 1 area code and 7 digit number. To a land line in México it's 01152 area code and 7 digit number (notice the absence of the 1)

I really don't know for sure---I just know that when I call the US it does not seem to use much of my time. I don't call often and I don't talk for very long. :tumble::tumble:

I am just glad that when I buy a new card after the two months have expired, I get back my unused minutes---always have some.

Your T-Mobile works in BA? Mine does not---

Movistar has a promotion going on but don't know for how long;
A 20 minute call to the US only costs 10.20 pesos.
That's right ...only a buck for 20 minutes!!

Just do it!

Movistar doesnt' work in BA... so does this mean when ou call a mexican cell phone from the states, you don't need to dial any 045 ....just as you mentioned 011-52-1-615-bla bla bla-bla bla bla bla???

Correct. That one I know for sure --- from the United States, 011-52-1-615- XXXX. As some else stated, if it is not a cell phone, leave our the 1. NO 044 or 045 if calling from the US

Now I am curious about if one calls from Canada???
