New development at the border.

Well, Glen Beck of CNN ran a news story last night and promises to look further into the border situation. For those who thought that Sandra Dibble had a bias and only reported those things that were negative to Mexico now we have Tony Manotolo reporting some interesting happenings.

It is amazing how a single press release or incident can general so many permutations in the media. I'm not contesting the gist of this article; it's just astounding how a pebble begins rolling downhill and pretty soon, you have a landslide in broadcast and web media outlets.

That's true, but I also remember when the bad stuff started to get reported here on the nomads site and we could not get any coverage at all from the press. I would guess it is pretty hard to break into coverage and then once you do the Wire pretty much spreads it to everyone.

But this is pretty interesting that the kidnapings are a different twist from the carjacking and petty mordida of the police. Guess they are expanding their horizons. Do you think they take classes somewhere like in Underground University?

Sorry, but I trust the bandidos a little more than I trust Glen Beck.

I have felt the effects

Had a nice weekend planned last Sat & Sun with friends at Guadalupe Canyon. Everyone paid and was ready to go but then some one talked to someone and did a little search on the internet & everyone backs out. No refund for them. The wife & I got San Marcos to ourselves, it was a very nice weekend. When we returned we told everyone they made the correct decision it was really scary.

It was really nice having it all to ourselves. We will tell them the truth someday.
