Any recent Playa San Rafael visits?
We're planning on visiting Pancho at Playa San Rafael after a few days at our place in Asuncion. Juan and Shari might join us as they've never been
there. Has anyone been there recently? How are Pancho's palapas?
We spent Semana Santa there last year and had the place to ourselves. We're hoping for another quiet year this time around.

Playa San Rafael and the back-bay are in the distance. This shot was taken on a small bluff near the rancho.

Shari-there are no sting rays at this time of year.
Baja-spirit-PSR is located south of Bahia de Los Angeles about 45 miles or so. It's a great place and many here will attest to Pancho's character and
humor.

I have a few photos that I can share;
Pancho's mailbox
His house
Pancho loved Charlie and asked for this photo to be taken. We took him a copy on another visit.
He knows where the fish are.
We had hoped to get down there over New Years, but our trip was cut short. Maybe we'll try again come spring break.

There's Pancho next to me in the middle... But, that's back in April, 2002! The guys on either side of us were kayakers marooned at Pancho's because
of the wind... One is holding a Viva Baja sticker that I gave to Pancho...

I was there this past oct. Two palapa's in great shape which have an octigon of wood below to protect you from the wind and had a burn barrel with
plenty of wood. I saw no sting rays. Poncho is a great guy and he has two really good dogs. I used paulina's photo of the tire and bottle to find
the turn off. It was still there. Its was very quiet there, a couple miles of white sandy beach all to myself.

Shari-
Lots of dirt road and a long sandy beach...we should be okay. Everyone will be in Bahia crammed into 100 sq. yards of beach....amazing!
Looking forward to sharing another piece of paradise with you and Juan.
Zac
ps. I helped build the fire barrels so I'm glad to hear they are still there.
