6th Annual Todos Santos Fur Ball Today

The Sixth Annual Fur Ball and Art Auction is today, starting at 4 PM at La Canada del Diablo. The no-host bar will feature mixed drinks, beer, wine. The raffle will feature jewelry, artwork and stays in beautiful local casitas. Raffle tickets are 50 pesos each and will be sold during the Fur Ball. A variety of delicious foods donated and prepared by local restaurants will be served early evening. Live dance music will begin at shortly thereafter.

More artwork, food and raffle items are being donated every day leading up to this weekend's event. The auction will feature more than one dozen beautiful paintings and artwork. Thanks so much to our latest Donors:

For The Auction: Catherine Edwards, Libusche Wiesendanger, Margaret Woodall, and Jennifer Power.

For The Raffle: Rosa Maria del Carmen Camacho, 1 weekend at Flora Del Mar on the beach, Todos Santos.

For The Food: Cafe Brown and Restaurant El Gusto! (Posada La Poza).

You can visit the Baja Western Onion Web Site to view some of the Artwork to be auctioned and raffled. Go to

Tickets are $200 pesos, and are available at the door.

Each year, the Fur Ball raises money to support the Dog and Cat Spay and Neuter efforts in the communities of Todos Santos, Pescadero, and the surrounding areas. We could not do this work without the continuing support of you, the community, our local Artists and businesses. A sincere thanks to all for once again helping to make this year's Fur Ball a success.

This event sounds wonderful! See...having gringos in a community isn't all bad! I envy this type of fund raiser and look forward to organizing something here in the coming years when we have more extranjeros living here. I drooled over the artwork...wish I was there to buy a raffle ticket!
