Buying land in BOLA

Just got back from Bay of LA and found all sorts of land/houses to buy. All of BOLA was Ejido land but some has been sold to private individuals that now have it for resale. Is this a problem? Also there is land available direct from the Ejido. What about that.
I would be buying the property into a mexican corp so no fideocomiso. bg

The prices are high but the risk is the question. Is it an issue to buy from an Ejido? bg

BCN fideocomiso law is screwy and contradictory. Chubasco finally approached my In-laws and offered them terms to purchase. Price was pretty attactive per sq mtr IMO but they had to buy 2.5 acres from him based on the road / lot orientation.

No fideocomiso available presently so everyone who is taking the sellers up around town before they raise the prices are scrambling to get Mex Corps formed. If they all get em through there will be 500 B&Bs in BoLA by 2009.

hire the best notario with good references you can find. many are licensed in US and MEX - they are the sharpest and of course bi-fluent.
listen to them. pay for their assessment - if they say walk away the money you spent onn them will be well worth it vs getting poked by a pig in the pokey.........or sumthin like that!

Antonio at Archelon sez that north of town is all ejido and central town and south is colonial.

The big new brown house on the hill going out of town was colonial (according to the owner)

Anyone who buys real property in Mexico without relying on a very reliable attorney deserves to lose all the money that they are almost certain to lose.
