I'm coming in April.

Hi.

I'm getting ready for a trip to Baja in April for some kayaking, surfing and general laying about. I have a few questions. I'd appreciate if those of you with a lot more experience than I have could answer the following:

1. Is there a bank or an ATM in Guerrero Negro? In Abreojos?

2. My understanding is, if I'm only fishing from shore, I don't need a fishing license. Is that accurate? Is it true on both sides of the Peninsula?

3. I may want to go out to Isla Danzante for a couple of days. I understand from my months of lurking that there is a parking lot at Puerto Escondido and that it costs dinero to park there. Is that accurate? Is it open to anyone to park there? How much does it cost?

Thanks for your help. I'm chomping at the bit...

Re; #2, yes that is accurate. #3, you will need a permit to camp on Danzante or any of the islands in the area.It costs to park @ Puerto Escondido, and there are others here on this board that can give you the $$ info.Just bumped this to the top to try to help you.Happy travels and post a trip report, please!

Happiness is just a Baja memory away...

I hit the ATM at the last toll booth @ San Miguel. What a great ATM (HSBC)?!! 1,500 pesos and all 50 notes!! That`s 30 of them!! Of course the 500 peso notes are easily changed at the Pemex stations, but I do like the small notes!
