How far is the hike from rancho matomi to matomi falls.

Are you talking about this falls.(see picture below).
This falls are less than 100 ft from Matomi Ranch,there maybe other falls up the creck,but I don't know.

Thats it, thanks very much. I am trying to get a group from our campo together to go there. Is it better not to go up matomi wash. Was thinking about going in by Santa Maria & meeting with matomi about 5 miles before the rancho

Check this out. this report is from The Nomad matomi trip on Presidents Day(02/17/08).Around 15 vehicles + Motos & Quads.It has alot iformation about the trip mileage and road condition,and lots of Photos.!! TAKE TWO YES TWO SPARES !!,on this trip we had 5 flats on 4 dif. vehicles. have fun and post pictures.

If you're in San Felipe, probably easiest is thru Valle Chico and drop in just a few miles below the Rancho.

But remember - right now all these canyons and roads have pre-runners for the Baja 250 so have to watch out.

Going up Azufre/Parral (from Sulphur mine area) will be with the traffic for prerunning. Still have to watch out.

There are a few pools not too far up--but please look before you leap--storms can fill these up with sand!
